Wallseed
Privacy Policy
Wallseed is designed to work without an account, an advertising identifier, an analytics SDK, or behavioral tracking. There are no ads and no subscriptions. Wallseed does not generate images on your device and does not upload your library anywhere.
Data stored on your device
Wallseed stores your selected interests, favorite wallpaper IDs, saved framing choices, rotation and shuffle settings, and the most recently shown wallpaper in local app storage on your device. The app also caches catalog metadata, preview images, and downloaded full resolution wallpapers so the library stays useful offline.
You can clear favorites in Settings, remove downloaded originals from the storage screen, and remove all app data by deleting the app or, on Android, by clearing app data in system settings.
Local preference data may be included in the operating system's own device backup or device to device transfer if you have that turned on. Downloaded wallpaper and catalog caches are excluded from backup. Wallseed does not operate that backup service and does not receive the backed up data.
Photos, sharing, and applying a wallpaper
When you choose Save original, the operating system writes the selected file to your photo library or, on Android, to Pictures/Wallseed. When you choose Share, the system share sheet sends the selected file only to the destination you pick. When you apply a wallpaper, the system wallpaper service receives the rendered image. Wallseed does not read your existing photos and asks for photo access only if it is required to save a file you asked to save.
Network access
Wallseed requests a versioned catalog, preview images, and the full resolution wallpapers you choose to download from the publisher's HTTPS content host. Wallseed does not attach an account ID, an advertising ID, your favorites, your searches, your interests, your framing choices, or your rotation history to those requests.
As with ordinary internet traffic, the hosting provider may temporarily process network information such as IP address, request time, and user agent in order to deliver files and protect the service. Those operational logs are not used to build a profile of you and are not sold or shared for advertising.
Purchases
Wallseed is a paid app. Optional permanent packs and the complete library unlock are one time purchases handled entirely by Apple or Google. Wallseed never sees or stores your payment details. To confirm that a purchase is genuine before releasing a download, the app sends the store's own signed purchase receipt or transaction to the Wallseed entitlement service, which validates it with Apple or Google and returns which packs you own. That record contains store transaction identifiers and product IDs, not your name, email address, or payment information. Restoring purchases uses the same store account you bought with.
Data sharing and sale
Wallseed does not sell personal information. It does not share app preferences or behavioral profiles with advertisers, data brokers, or analytics providers. Saves and shares that you start are controlled by you and by your operating system.
Children
Wallseed does not knowingly collect personal information from children. The app provides no accounts, no messaging, and no way to upload user generated content.
Your choices
You can use Wallseed with networking unavailable and still use every wallpaper already on the device. You can delete downloaded originals at any time without losing the right to download them again. If you would like any operational log data associated with your requests removed, write to the address below and include enough detail to identify the requests.
Changes and contact
